Graham finishes new studio album
Graham Coxon has completed recording his seventh studio album due out late summer. The album was recorded at Olympic Studios (also used for Happiness In Magazines) and is currently in the mixing stages.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Graham revealed the album has an acoustic and epic feel.
"It doesn't relate much to previous records. There's guitars and drums, but I'm really trying to do a lot of what I've been teaching to myself about acoustic music and I wanted to make an album that was really acoustic."
"It's all based with certain sounds of things happening within a story. Whenever you hear a specific instrument it means a specific thing or emotion in the story."
Although the album's title is yet to be decided and the artwork to be done, Graham hopes the record will be released in the late summer.
"That would fit with the music," he summed up the feeling of the record.
