GBQ records 'very different' second album
It seems that the second GBQ album is on the way despite Paul Simonon's recent comments of not making a new record together.
Tony Allen confirms in the new article by The Independent that the group have been recording at Damon's studio in December.
"We've had to take a break because we've all got other projects, but it's got the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble on it and it'll be very different from the first record," Allen says.
"[Damon's] got so many ideas and it's something new all the time. It's a challenge because it's not easy keeping up with him. I'll do whatever he wants me to do. I could work with him forever," added Allen.
Currently, there are no tentative release dates or titles announced yet, but it is believed that the group have dropped the name The Good, The Bad & The Queen and will choose another theme for the album.
