Damon travels to Algeria to make new
record
Damon Albarn has yet another
project going on. According to the interview conducted by
GoodBadQueen.com, he
is travelling to Algeria to make an album with musicians he
has met on previous trips.
"I'm going to Algeria tomorrow
morning to record an album. That'll come out on Honest Jon's.
I'm going to be working with musicians I've met on previous
trips, basically I've been preparing to do this record for
about a year. I'm just going to go over there for five days
and do it. It'll be released at the beginning of next year."

October 27, the day after The Good, The Bad & The Queen's

added November 26, 2006:
Sorry, this comes a bit late,
but more details have emerged about Damon's project in
Algeria. He has produced the album for the Algerian group El
Gusto, reports Billboard.com. The album is scheduled to be out
in spring 2007.
