Gorillaz tour rumours
It has been reported that the band
are set to perform live at a music industry event
in London at the end of October, testing the
Demon Days material as road-worthy before kicking
off a full scale tour. The band has decided to
leave no stone unturned in their question to
develop one of the best stage shows ever seen,
and are in the process of developing a highly
extravagant multimedia set. At the moment it is
unclear whether a full scale tour will arrive
before 2007, however it has been promised that it
will be far more technologically advanced than
the group's performance at the 2002 Brit Awards.
Update added September
8, 2005 from vblurpage.com:
The tour will most likely take place
in 2007/2008 due to financial and technical
reasons. "We intend to do a massive world
tour with Demon Days, but I won't be involved
with it...It'll be all animation and big sound
systems and stuff," Damon told MTV Europe.
"The great thing is they can play in five
cities on one night," added Jamie Hewlett.
This means that the tour will probably feature
pre-recorded material from the band.
