Gorillaz nominated for VMA awards

The video for the last Gorillaz single, "Feel Good Inc", has been nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards nominations. The nominations are in Breakthrough Video and Best Special Effects In A Video categories. Here are the full lists of nominees in the categories:

The awards will be held on August 28 in Miami.

Meanwhile, "Feel Good Inc" has rised again on The Billboard Hot 100 chart (the US singles chart). This week, the single climbed to Number 16 from last week's Number 25. It's the highest chart placing Gorillaz have ever got for their single in the States. Expect even higher chart placings in the coming weeks. The Gorillaz album "Demon Days" is also back in the US Top 10 and has already sold a half million copies there.
