GRAHAM COXON
showcased new material at Fridays (February
18) final SHOCKWAVES NME AWARDS
show in London in front of a crowd that included THE
OTHERS, FUTUREHEADS and
KAISER CHIEFS.
Appearing at the Hammersmith
Palais, with support from The
Departure, Tom Vek and Hard
Fi, the former Blur
guitarist, visibly high on the emotions of being
crowned Best Solo Artist at the
previous nights awards, unveiled new tracks
Gimme Some Loving
and I Cant Think Of Your Skin
(Cos Its Doing Me In).
Im making a new album at
the moment. Its not finished but it will be
out at the end of next week I reckon! joked
Coxon before covering post-punk
band Mission to Burmas Fame
and Fortune.
Prior to playing hit single Freakin
Out, he described the song as
a bloody itch rash and apologised to
anyone who might be sick of hearing
it, before closing the ShockWaves
NME Awards Shows in fine style with a
haunting 20 minute version of Lake.
