Transcopic Records:
Graham Coxon releases a double
A-side single, "Freakin' Out/All Over Me" on Parlophone on
Oct. 25
The best flaming rock n roll
record of the week, the month, and almost
certainly the year NME
On Oct 25th, Graham Coxon releases a
double A side single, featuring two classic
tracks from his Top 20 album Happiness in
Magazines.
Freakin Out was
originally released as a limited edition 7
vinyl single and still made the top 40. This new
full release celebrates one of the best singles
of the year and an undisputed highlight of
Grahams live set.
All Over Me is the flip
side to the incendiary, classic rock of
Freakin Out. Featuring lush,
soaring strings and a heartbreakingly
poignant melody, the track, says Graham,
describes a few sensory obsessions I have.
I was always rather prone to fainting when I
experienced more than a little excitement or pain
when I was younger. This scared me
that
feeling of the void. So I mixed my liking of
showers, bed sheets, the colour of blood and the
comfort of being held by a girl with that.
Graham has just headlined the Radio
1 stage at the Reading and Leeds festival and
will play a headline show at the Forum in London
on November 27.
He has also been asked by the ICA to
hold a retrospective of his artwork. He is
currently making some new work for this show,
which will open at the end of October. More
details to follow.
