Blur for Benicassim
BLUR are to
headline the ninth BENICASSIM FESTIVAL
in Spain, joining BADLY DRAWN BOY,
THE CORAL and THE
FLAMING LIPS from August 8-10.
Blur, who headlined
the festival in 1999, are soon to embark on a
series of dates around Europe and America to
promote new album, 'Think Tank'.
The band are set to play three
secret gigs this month in Europe before heading
off to play the Coachella Festival
in the US on April 26.
They have five sold-out shows
scheduled for the London Astoria
in May, and are tipped to headline this year's Carling
Weekend: Reading And Leeds festivals.
Suede, Travis,
Moby and Death In Vegas
have also been confirmed for Benicassim,
which was headlined by Radiohead
last year, and by Oasis in 2000.
Blur release the
single, 'Out of Time' on April
14 and new album 'Think Tank'
on May 5.
