"Don't Bomb..." is demo
Damon Albarn has said that the
recently released white label single "Don't
Bomb When You're The Bomb" is just a
"stupid little" demo recorded about a
year ago and not an indication of the sound of
the new album.
"It was released later than
planned because the first pressings were left at
Brighton train station with the word 'bomb' on
top, so the police carried out a controlled
explosion of the box," he said.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1's Evening
Session, he also revealed that the new Blur album
was primarily produced by Ben Hillier and all 25
tracks they've recorded will be released at some
point. The band will possibly give another album
away free after the first one.
According to Damon, Blur might play
a few gigs in America with Massive Attack. The
band will also tour the UK if they can find a new
guitarist.
"Graham's made a very good
decision for himself to have a quieter life...I
still want to make music to be heard by everyone,
perhaps that was the difference."
