Graham Coxon speaks out
Graham Coxon is not leaving Blur,
despite claims that he has walked-out on the
band, dotmusic can reveal.
Coxon was this morning
reported to have quit Blur after a series
of arguments with frontman Damon Albarn,
as the group continue work on their new album.
However, dotmusic has learnt
that the rumours, which have been circulating in
the UK press and on the internet, are false,
despite the fact that Blur are currently
in the studio without the guitarist.
Coxon, speaking today,
explained: "It's just those three ladies
(3am the Daily Mirror gossip columnists) causing
mischief again".
"I've known Damon Albarn
since I was 12. Any arguments we have are very
quickly resolved - we're beyond any really
serious bust-ups. Honestly, I'm in Blur
and enjoying making the new album", he told
Teletext.
Blur are currently in a
London recording studio putting together the new
record with Norman 'Fatboy Slim' Cook. Coxon
is believed to be working on his new solo album.
