away from American guitar sound'

Damon Albarn describes the new Blur
album as "a kind of proximity to The Clash's
records like 'Sandinista' and 'Combat
Rock'." The band have already 25 songs
recorded and 12 will go on the album.
"It's
pretty much Blur, but we got away from the
American guitar sound," Damon told Blitz
magazine a couple of weeks ago.
The album is
almost finished and the producers (including
Norman Cook, William Orbit, The Neptunes and The
Dust Brothers) will work on it in the next few
months.
"Norman Cook listened to a couple of
songs two days ago. We have excellent ideas of
what he's going to do with the songs," Damon
said.
