- The Sun: Gorillaz go ape at
snub
 DAMON ALBARN has
attacked the Brits for failing to give his band GORILLAZ
a gong – despite six nominations.
The cartoon band, one of the
UK’s biggest musical exports of the last
year, opened the show with a £300,000 set but
failed to pick up a single award.
The BLUR star told
me: “I have won Brits before and it’s a
spectacularly empty experience.
"And why give us an enormous
grant to perform, when we weren’t even
getting an award?”
