Liam ape with Damon

It seems that Liam Gallagher and Damon Albarn are back at war following their short-lived truce.

As dotmusic reported yesterday, the long-time rivals had been seen hugging backstage at the Q Awards, with Damon even telling reporters that he "really respects" the Oasis frontman.

However, Gallagher quickly tired of the politeness and decided to provoke Damon at the aftershow party that evening.

According to a UK tabloid, Gallagher spotted the Damon at the bar of Just St. James and delivered a half-hour verbal attack.

Liam allegedly pinned the singer against the bar, angry at Albarn's invitation for the Oasis singer to join the Gorillaz:

"I don't know why you said I was joining that f****** band, because I'm f****** not."

Onlookers report that Damon was rather bemused and left the party with friends shortly.
