Fatboy will produce Blur

The speculation about who will produce the next Blur album has been cleared up by Fatboy Slim, who told dotmusic it would be him!

The superstar DJ, real name Norman Cook, has said that his next single 'Ya Mamma', will be the last thing he is releasing for a while and that after the promotional campaign had calmed down, he would be concentrating his efforts on Blur's new material.

He said: "This will be the last single off the album ['Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars'] then I will be producing Blur's next album and having a bit of a break. Hopefully you won't see me for a year after this."

A spokesperson for Blur could confirm that Norman would "definitely" be going into the studio with the group but was unsure if the time had been booked yet. It is still unknown whether he'll be the only producer working on the long-player.
