Blur launch radio station
Blur
will launch their own radio station this month to
accompany the imminent best of, whose cover is
exclusively revealed (left).
blur-radio.com will be
launched on October 12, featuring a cornucopia of
Blur material, both visual and audio, and
a documentary tracing their career.
Both Graham Coxon and Alex
James have also contributed to 'The Weird
and Wonderful World of Blur', which will see
both members picking b-sides, rarities,
collaborations, solo tracks, remixes, and
previously unheard demo's.
By October 28th, a full 12 hour
schedule of shows will be available online,
including archives of live shows, including last
December's 'Singles Night', a 1994 gig at
the Alexandra Palace and the band's only show of
2000, as part of Scott Walker's Meltdown.

The album cover art for the best of,
out on October 30th, was painted by Julian
Opie, an English artist, who is currently
exhibiting at both Tate Modern and Tate
Britain, with the exhibitions 'Between
Cinema And A Hard Place' and 'New British
Art 2000: Intelligence' respectively
Further details will of the radio
project will be unveiled following Blur's
appearance on Top Of The Pops Plus on October
8th, between 12 - 1pm.
