Damon records with Ibrahim Ferrer

Blur's Damon Albarn has recorded with top African musicians in Mali and with the Buena Vista Social Club Grammy-winning Ibrahim Ferrer. Albarn has just been in the studio with bolero Cuban singer Ferrer. No release plans for the recordings have been issued yet. Albarn has also recently been to Mali as part of a charitable project called "On The Line." These recordings with local musicians are believed to be released next year on a special charity album. Blur themselves have been in the studio recording a new single, titled "Black Book", which will appear on the "Best of" album due for release in the fall.
