Alex - 'Blur are not splitting up after greatest hits album'

Blur bassist Alex James has taken a swipe at rivals Oasis again and insisted that Blur are not splitting up after the release of their forthcoming greatest hits album. Alex also offered some comfort for Blur fans who fear that the upcoming Blur "Best of" album might signal the beginning of the end for the band, by saying that Blur is planning to start on new songs later in the year.
