Skeleton Tree

So I don't really listen to Nick Cave but this is already easily one of the best albums of, heck, the decade.

What does everyone think of it?

I listened to a couple of songs, sort of liking it, but I have to listen to it in full to be sure. Never listened to Nick Cave before, expect that obvisous hit about roses.

It's hauntingly beautiful. Reminds me of Low in a lot of ways.

I bought it on my holidays (I have all his records, original plus the remastered+DVD versions released a few years back), but didn't get the chance to listen yet.
To be honest, I'm a little scared of listening to it after all I read + the well-documented trauma surrounding the recording, just like I cannot read newspaper articles that are about young kids' deaths.

Yes, that is the case with me as well, and probably many people. I won't be critical of what I don't know about, but that is the record IIRC that he is best known for in the UK.
