Lush
I just started listening to them over the weekend. I picked a good time to start, didn't I.

I'm super excited about this. I saw them live in '96 and they became my favourite band for a while. Then after 3 months they split up following Chris's suicide.
I would be over the moon to see them again.
Hands up who had a crush on Miki.

Split is my favourite album of theirs. I listened it tonight to celebrate, and it still sounds so good after all these years. "Undertow", man what a beast of a song that is. And Gala as well is fantastic. "Baby Talk", "Thoughtforms".
After Suede and Blur, probably my favourite band of the era. How great that all 3 have now reformed.

No idea if this is official, never saw it before (one of my favourite covers ever):

I played this one to death at the time. The 7" is one of my more treasured pieces of vinyl.

Great band. Prefer the dream pop/shoegaze era to the Britpop one.
I haven't actually listened to them in a while so I'm off to play Scar.

Re: Lush
I don't think I ever saw them either, unless they were on a festival bill.
A band I was aware of, without ever really latching onto.

Well I got my tickets for the roundhouse on Saturday 7th may! Just watch the bbc4 documentary about girl bands and Miki was on and talking about the time Alex James bit her on the arse back in the britpop days! Very random...

They do and they don't if you get what I mean. Miki looks great, thought she might visit the redhead look again. had a massive teenage crush on her back in the early '90s!
