Really fucking excited for this, but decided to avoid any leaks/streams as I'm waiting to sit down and listen to it properly on Friday on vinyl (yes, I'm being that guy
).

YAY! 9.3!
I've not actually heard it yet though, of course. I just thought they'd 8.0 it or something.
Btw I also read Pitchfork for the lols.

Pitchfork are right about something though. The bass playing on this album is stellar.

True. That article they had about how indie rock is a Caucasian boy's club was hilarious.TripleJay97 wrote:Because it's really fucking funny.
It also made me want to punch my computer, but since it's actually my dad's, I had to restrain myself.

Re: Tame Impala Thread
I assumed they just gave anything without sufficient hype a 6.8
I guess I'm still right

This record is alright but not that good
they hyped it though, they had to rate it highly

Re: Tame Impala Thread
I really like Tame Impala and admire Kevin Parker but the new record doesn't have the same effect on me as the others do. Just seems like there's something missing from it. Still, I wish I'd got tickets for liverpool later this year...

Y'know, Kendrick, Sufjan and Jamie xx have also received the same 9.3 this year. Just a thought.
