Most of their albums are available on their own webstore. At the start of the month I got my copies of Heaven Born... and the very limited re-release of Day Is Gone which is pretty cool. Joining the Plankton sounds like the intro to Futurama.

I'm torn between getting On Land and in the Sea or Mare's Nest on CD next :(

The latter is one of the best live albums I've ever heard! I really don't understand how Cardiacs were so tight live, considering the difficulty of the songs they were playing.

On the other hand, I really want the former, solely for The Everso Closely Guarded Line, which is one of the most wonderful songs I've ever heard. I like to play this straight after A Little Man and a House to create a little industrial-sounding suite.

I want the little man and house shirt, but my size is sold out :cry:

I'm really getting into Sing to God at the moment. The singles are incredible (Bellyeye, Manhoo, Odd Even) but I've never heard the whole album before.

Fucking great write-up. Essential for those who don't really know much about the band's history.

I've been listening to Guns a lot recently. It's a really difficult record, not because the music is hard to get into, it's mostly because a lot of it isn't. Wind and Rains is Cold is practically reggae, Song of a Dead Pest could have been on a Tears for Fears album...

When the album does get weird though, it's really weird. I'm struggling to comprehend the second half of Jitterbug (Junior is a).

I've rewritten the entire Wikipedia page for Sing to God!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sing_to_God" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Originally it was a tiny page, now it's giant. 8-)
