I entered to win the trip to LA for this gig so many times. Alas, I never win any sweepstakes :P what a great set list! Really didn’t expect Re-Hash, and it sounded wonderful. Very excited to see a proper recording of this!

Gorillaz & Graham Coxon - Song 2 - video

Here extended version with Damon's banter about this "cross pollination" and sort of intro.

Really did not expect Song 2! Looks like it was a ton of fun. Damon just can't go forever without playing blur tunes... they're too good! As with any meeting/collaboration/live event with Damon and Graham, it gives me much hope for the future of blur. After Graham's new solo album and the new TGTB&TQ album, I would KILL for a new blur album. The timing would be great, the relationships are seemingly as strong as (or stronger than) ever, and they clearly have love playing together. I know this is a bit off topic, and that Damon is working in Mali next year, but I can't help dreaming. I'm eager to see how Visconti's production is on the new album, as I feel he would be an interesting pick for producer of blur's next album...

Great to see Gorillaz with a good guitarist finally! Great version although I will say that Song 2 is nothing without Dave on drums.

Gorillaz has really put on some amazing shows through two fantastic tours the past couple of years. Can't believe it's over now, but I'm so happy I was able to see them thrice. They only got better and better imo. I can't wait to see the documentary Denholm is making! No clue when it'll come out (hopefully spring 2019?), but there has to be some great footage. Especially backstage with all of the MANY collaborators. And here's hoping it will include a live DVD, maybe even a live album as well.
