I love Sir Elton John's Cock. Short and sweet. Yes I'm serious. :)
In all seriousness, it is a wonderful little song. Shame it's so fleeting.

That run of "1", "3", Sir Elton John's Cock and Avoid the Traffic on the rarities 4 disc is delightful. :)

I like the self titled album best. My second favourite is probably 13 or Modern Life is Rubbish

"1" is very Nirvana sounding, in my opinion.

MLIR, 13 and Think Tank
Miss America is the perfect song.. Does anyone know the story behind the Michael part at the beginning? I've heard it was Graham drunk shouting to Mike smith? But I've also heard it was dave and that's why there were no drums on it as he was too drunk to play.. Does anyone know

I couldn't paste the story but here's the link, it was Graham referring to Mike smith the publisher. Graham was drunk and went back to the studio to add his guitar parts to the song while the rest of the band went to a Pulp show. When they returned they found an "off his trolley" Graham banging on a chair leg and as Mike came in he shouted to him...apparently

Fun story. I didn't actually know that the reason it said The Plough, Bloomsbury in the credits is because Dave was in the pub until recently enough either!

wanted to bump this because i've been relistening to blur's discography after a sort of break (i listen to their songs weekly but never full albums, which I feel bad for lol) and rediscovered a love for the self titled and modern life is rubbish. and also wanted to read others opinions after 2 years of magic whip being out

1. blur
2. mlir/13
3. the magic whip
4. parklife
5. the great escape
6. think tank
7. leisure

It's always a struggle between the self-titled and Parklife for me. I was gonna say the self-titled now, but then I realized two years ago I had voted for Parklife.
