Forum improvements?

I just installed an optional mobile style for the board. There should now be "switch to mobile style" link on the index page (only when viewing with mobiles).

I hope it works well - can't test it myself yet as I haven't got a mobile near me.

That being said because it doesn't show avatars I'm struggling to figure out who everyone is (reading usernames is a lot of effort! )

Haha wow. I don't see any page numbers in the the threads though so you can't go to the next page or previous page. Is that an option you can add Veikko?

thank you, so far it works fine, it was a nightmare trying to post with the other theme, often times I felt like throwing my phone across the room

Hello.

Warner have pulled the plug on Graham's forum. It is no more, it's joined the choir invisible etc. Might it be an idea to shoe-horn in a Grahamcentric sub-board here? If it's as quiet as Graham's was it might not be worth it?

Just a suggestion.

the original forum had a section just for think tank long after think tank had dropped. a standalone graham forum would probably be ok.

Shame about the Coxon forum. I hope everyone had some notice before it shut.

Was it run by the same people as the old Blur forum? What a kick to the teeth. Forums are still the best way for fans to interact online.

It was shut without warning, but it was less busy than the old Blur forum, and there had been murmerings that 'management' couldn't really see the point of it. It's their call and it's fair enough really, there were only a handful of active users, and they'd support Graham's solo antics whether there's a forum running or not.

There's talk of setting up a spin-off forum, but I'm inclined to think the logical thing to do is for this board to point everyone this way. If you drew a Venn diagram and had a Graham fans circle and a Blur fans circle you'd have a fairly big ellipse in the middle, I reckon.

Apparently the forum was deemed a 'security risk' so got put to sleep like a ailing dog.

I just happen to like pornbots, but you can't please everyone.

At the time of writing it's got about 7 members and about 4 posts, I think. It's more micropub than Wetherspoons.
