It's been getting sunny again and the fact its slowly getting lighter each night is a big bonus.

That's right, not keen on those afternoons when it is getting dark by 4.30pm.

After 5 months of winter, summer is here. Yes, you read that correctly. Spring didn't happen! Straight from winter to summer, temperature wise.

It's all about sun spots and solar flares.

If you get snow in winter it's a good sign of a warm dry summer.

We had 5 months of snow here in Vermont. After going on holiday to Florida in November, my wife and I returned to snow mid-November. By mid April it was still here, and then BAM - summer. Never experienced anything quite like it.

It has been similar in the UK - from a cold damper winter straight to much warmer weather.

Finally we've got a bit of rain and winter-like weather. Lovely day, 70 F nighttime.

Incredibly hot and muggy here, 90+ oF with 50%+ humidity. Supposed to be cooling down with LOTS of rain starting tonight.
