Friday evening: "Blondie, one way or another" (a very good documentary about Blondie).
Saturday night: "Pulp: a film about Death, Life and Supermarkets" (loved this one).
Sunday evening: "Beautiful Noise" (a cool documentary about the Shoegazer bands: Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Dinosaur Jr., Ride, Lush, Chapterhouse, Slowdive, Swervedriver, etc.).

The funniest part of the docu is the argument between Kevin Shields (MBV) and Alan McGee (Creation Records).

Wife and kids and I watched The Boxtrolls this past Friday. A very weird movie. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure if I liked it...

Both sound awesome! I wonder where I can see them.JAIME wrote:Friday evening: "Blondie, one way or another" (a very good documentary about Blondie).

Last week I saw the film Boyhood. It was filmed over the past 12 years with the same cast. Concept was cool story was a bit boring.
Re: What films have you seen lately?
Is that the one where they followed a boy from like the age of 10 until he was 22 or something like that? I remember hearing about that one.

They followed him from the age of 6 until he was 18 and started college. It's a scripted film. Reminds me of the 7up documentary that started in 1963 and followed the same British children every 7 years since 1963.

Under the Skin
Very weird film. Very weird indeed. It is certainly worth the watch

Fifty shades of Grey (last week).
Average film, totally overrated (at least here).
