Req: Essential bootlegs

Post by Caitlin » 26 Feb 2017, 07:04

After some catastrophic hardware failure and losing all my treasured digital music files, I'm looking to slowly start building my Blur bootleg collection again.

I've downloaded some bootlegs that are a MUST have (Paris 2003, Dublin 1996, Glastonbury 2009 specifically) but does anyone have any recommendations to other boots I should definitely take a listen to? Any other compilations which may be worth downloading (picked up that lovely Damon acoustic collection that's floating around)?

Also, I can't remember the name of it, but if anyone has the 2 disc mashup album (from memory had Peter Panic and the Wolf but can't remember too much else) I would absolutely love a copy of that.

Thanks in advance, friends. x

Mile End '95, Alexandra Palace '94, Meltdown '00 and Hong Kong '15 are all essential imo, I could upload all of these for you if you haven't got them yet. A few years someone did full album compilations with live tracks including b-sides from each era and so on. I could also upload those if you're dying to hear how Rednecks sounds live. Also what's that mashup album thing? I'd never heard of it.

And while we're at it, does anyone have Essex Dogs live at Glasto '98? I've got the full bootleg except for that one for some reason.

Oooh yes, how could I forget Mile End! I'll go have a look through Elasticamans archive and grab them now, thank you!

Also, after a bit of googling I found the mashup album I was thinking of! It was called Parkspliced!

The mediafire download link in there is still working, which is amazing considering it was posted in 2009.

Sorry to hear about your data loss, Caitlin. :(
In addition to Lt Pinkerton's list, I would recommend 1999's Hippodrome and the B-sides gig (of course). Icelandic gigs from 1996/97 are also nice to have and 2003's Coronet.

The song was not broadcast on TV/radio, and as far as I know, there are no audience recordings of it. I think the only known recordings of the song are from Meltdown '98 and the Cliffs Pavilion in 2009.
