A couple of months in and - for me - The Ballard of Darren is up there with blur's very best!
What an amazing album

I’m still thinking it’s right up there too. Fantastic record - still in love with it.

The only reason I’ve not been praising it lately is that I am still busy religiously listening to it

. Never tire of it, still feels so fresh.

After my first full listen, it's not as bad as I first thought. I like about half of it. I would rank it above 13 and Think Tank, but that's it. Good album to play at night.
I would love to hear SCS with a late 90s vocal. Hopefully someone can do that with AI.

Just ouf of curiosity - what makes a Blur fan to give first listen to the album more than 2 months after its release?
And why did you think it would be "bad" even before you gave it first full listen?

It wasn't my first listen, it was the first FULL listen. I got a leak and gave it a quick listen, wasn't impressed.

You think that's slow?
"In My Life" by The Beatles only just went platinum. That was released 58 years ago. Slack bastards.
