Interesting concept!
I loved the Pipettes although not so keen on Rose's solo stuff.
Wonder if Graham will be singing at all...
No idea who they are but I've just youtubed them and I feel like I've gone back to 2007

Ah they were a pop dream come true. Well for me at least! There's only really one album, 'We are the Pipettes'.
It's a little patchy but there are some brilliant songs. Rose's finest moment to date IMO was the Pipettes song 'Judy' which she pretty much sings by herself.
Current 6 Music favourite 'Gwenno' was one of the other two singers. She has a more melodic/soft singing voice which I always thought complemented Rose's harsher tone really well.

I can't claim to remember them particularly well, but I did love Electric Soft Parade, who would have been around this era (very eclectic indie) and I remember there being some sort of crossover there somewhere. Pipettes were a little too saccharine for me from memory.

I do hope the hype for these two doesn't die down too soon, this is some of the best music Graham's been involved in for the last few years! :D

If anyone needs a megathread of the best angles from the shows last week, I made this post available on Reddit:

Great job, thanks! I hope that hype is still about to start - its interesting to see Gaham playing gigs with new music after a while, because he didnt tour Bloodwitch nor Superstate. And when he played TEOTFW stuff during his 2018/2019 tour, it was just one man show, without any band. So this is basically first time since 2012 (A plus E tour) and occasionally in 2014 that we see Graham touring new material with full band.

The more listen to this music, the more I think it's fucking awesome! The best thing Graham has done in ages  And full credit to all the rest of the band!

I'm getting hints/notes of Iggy/Bowie's Tiny Girls, Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, the Beatles' Long Long Long. The WAEVE is reaching for the peaks. And getting there...

I spoke to the sound guy on Friday. He said that physical product was on the way but had been held up by vinyl shortages :(

Ohh that's interesting, I read somewhere from a fan asking Rose after one of the shows that the album wouldn't be out until at least 2023.

If they kept vinyls limited, perhaps the wait wouldn't be so long.

The title of this thread suggests Graham is actually in a relationship with Rose.
Is this actually the case or just misleadingly worded?
If so, it's the first I've heard!

Musical partners. They are a duo.

I heard 2023 as well. The vinyl shortage is killing smaller acts, but in this case it may allow them to build up a decent following.

I´m not sure, but I´ve changed it anyway - its only fair to treat her like equal collaborator in this project. I created this topic very early after they announced the project.

I think they are in a relationship, actually - but not 100% certain.
