I expect you've noticed the silly prices on eBay for the Banksy Think Tank editions...
Got this from Laz this morning (Steve Lazarides - Banksy's former handler/driver/dealer):

Yeah I've noticed the prices on ebay...I mean do we know how successful these have been at selling? Feel like it's just someone trying to make a bit of money but it's not actually the true value. Yes anything is worth what someone is willing to pay for them but I've seen them go for much less.
The observer CD was worth a couple of quid a few years ago. Even this is overpriced and you can get it for £45 not £1000

I know, I know. But it is how the art market works. I think 50 years down the line they'll be worth a few bob. I won't see that but my daughter will!

Frustratingly I used to own the OOT poster, might check at my mum's just in case, but I'm pretty sure I threw it away. Still got the observer CD and TT singles on CD/DVD

Re: blur|banksy...
I went through a bit of a hording in 2003 and bought everything blur, but for some reason I never went for the think tank album and single vinyl's and they appear to be the ones that are worth the most. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles
Re: blur|banksy...
Yeah, true. Here are some recent prices (starting from the highest) of Blur/Banksy stuff sold on ebay; especially the Observer CD is still easily available and still quite cheap: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... ksy&_sop=3stephen wrote: ↑03 Dec 2020, 13:52Yeah I've noticed the prices on ebay...I mean do we know how successful these have been at selling? Re: blur|banksy...
wow you can see from the bids people are still bidding what seems to be inflated price, I'm happy to hold on to them but I think I'll get them framed and put them on the wall rather than hoarding them in a box
Re: blur|banksy...
I'm in the process of filling out my record collection and it's no surprise to find Think Tank is pricest highest; I tend to find that there's a period, from the late nineties to the mid noughties where vinyl just wasn't selling. Consequently there are far less copies floating around on the second hand market. I'm a couple of Fall albums short of having a full collection (of studio LPs, not the millions of live bootlegs), but it's that exact period where costs are most inflated, even though it was then that The Fall were making the worst LPs of their career. Wish I'd stocked up earlier, instead of shelling out for crap CDs which are now in boxes in the attic.

Re: blur|banksy...
Blimey! It's only a few years ago you could barely give those Observer CDs away.

Those prices can’t be real. If they are I’ve got quite a collection.
Album, singles, t-shirts, Observer CD. I’ve got the lot and a few other things as well.

I still reckon the cover for Think Tank is so so cringey, fuckin scuba masks and kissing?
