Don't remember ever seeing this barn studio - thought at first it could be in Iceland. Stream beginning, super excited!!

Rich, still makes me sad we won't be seeing this at the Barbican in a little over a week... but this surprise is the best consolation no doubt :)

its certainly melancholy...
I put me trousers on, have a cup of tea, and think about leaving the house...

I have a problem with that. I don't think it was live.

And I found it quite boring to listen. I think I'll listen to it again when I want to go to sleep.

His voice sounded great. I am a bit surprised that it was only 20 min or so, but that's alright with me... it was a hauntingly beautiful selection of songs.

This feels like a mix of Merrie Land, Everyday Robots, and Dr. Dee to me. But fully it's own thing as well, and it seems great.

Here's to seeing it live in 2021 hopefully ;)

also... hope somebody got a recording of this! Seems we can't go back and rewatch :(

Wasn’t expecting much earlier when watching the live broadcast, but what I have heard is beautiful. I agree about the ER & Dr Dee comparison, although on 2 of 3 listens of this I think the songs stand out better as individual tracks. This is kind of what I wanted ER to sound like when I heard Damon was doing a solo album. It won’t be for everyone admittedly, but nice to hear two totally different sides of Damon with what he has been doing with Song Machine, just hope we one day hear more from Blur..☹️

So does anyone know if that, frankly pretty spectacular, house he's posed near is his one in Iceland?

Fatboy and the barn is jumping!, it's alright, it's just tight.

Damon was playing in his home studio in Devon, apparently named The Barn.
Other footage included in the video was filmed earlier in Iceland - in his house and around it.

It was beautiful. Lovely songs and the space between them - I think the final version will go in that direction, distorting and breaking these beautiful melodies he can't help writing.
