Great surprise, and as always when you least expect this. This is big news, would they re-unite for one small show knowing how it gets the fans/media in a frenzy with rumours? It would be nice to know they had recording time planned this year....😀

I echo the sentiment expressed higher up this page about not needing to hear the woo hoo song or Tender live again (although of course perfectly understandable why they were chosen)
it seems that Song 2 wasn't planned

Like all true fans, I absolutely love Clover!
It sounds like my favourite elements were missing, though, i.e. the tinkling medieval harpsichord and the mysterious secret verse ("I'm floating away...").
Still, brilliant that it got an airing. Let's hope we get the proper version at future shows.

I hope Damon's just drunk and isn't having brain issues.

Drunk I'd imagine, maybe a bit out of practice with being back in Blur and all that. Great to see he still classes Blur as an active band, after 2015 my hopes for new material has gone up a bit, but I suspect there may be a bit of a wait :(

I remember Damon forgetting what b side "The Man Who Left Himself." when performing it live at the Albert Hall.
I reckon they played Clover during rehearsals/sound check during the 94 tour and decided to veto it.
Saw them a couple of times in 94. Deffo don't remember it being played.

Now would be a great time to start recording with blur. Is Dave the busiest member?

Have you not watched the videos? Slurring his words, hopefully he's just drunk and it's nothing to worry about.

again and again, ladies and gentlemen, see the schedule of upcoming GBQ gigs, it´s pretty busy until late August, with new dates being announced. Graham is definitely (well, likely) up to something later this year with his solo stuff. Even Dave has been talking about solo material due to be out next year (btw. I wonder what it would sound like, something similar to his soundtrack work or album with actual songs? Don´t laugh at it, Phil Selway´s solo album is quite good). And of course, Alex is organizing and hosting his Big Feastival. Lets enjoy all this diverse activity and give Blur more time. 2020 seems like more magical number :-)

I think Blur may always be up for playing together - always the possibility of future recordings and tours.

Anaiah, young fan who visited Damon in his studio two days ago asked him about this Blur reunion for Africa Express. Apparently first they wanted to do only Clover Over Dover, then when Damon invited a local choir to Africa Express show they decided to play also Tender. Song 2 wasn't planned at all, they just got carried on and did it.

Doesn’t surprise me... Damon has said a few times that when he is off the stage he isn’t mad about doing Blur, but when he is on stage with them he loves it.
