Doors are at 7.30 pm, l think they start at 8pm. I didn’t see any press or announcements so l guess it’s a bit low-key. I’m heading over.

Well that was a really good night. Lots of stories about Creation and Food. Insight into Food records , the dynamics of the group, the background to plotting Blur v Oasis. Really funny. I met Alan and Andy who were both talking to the audience before and after. This appears to be a warm up for a tour next year, so this was a semi secret gig.
Couldn’t get a ticket for TGTBTQ but this warmed my cockles.

Andy Ross (Food) vs Alan Mcgee (Creation).

Would probably make for a good TV documentary

BBC4 :)

Mallard, they had so many stories to tell it would make an amazing documentary. John Robb was a really good chairperson, he seemed to know a little bit more about Creation than Food, probably because there is a lot already written about Creation. It was a fascinating, funny evening. They opened the floor to the audience to ask questions for the last 10 minutes too.
Afterwards l asked Alan why it was so hush hush and he said that he and Andy wanted to do this as a warm up to see if it worked, so l suppose that means they are planning to do more shows. The response they got from the audience was great, lot’s of cheering and lot’s of laughter. I definitely would go again.

Hi Katiekate! I get all my info from here - there's lots of good stuff on Viekko's, fed in and shared by people all over the world. Damon Albarn Unofficial is a also a good source, and lumaka from Warsaw (also involved in DAU) passes things on quickly. She tipped us off here about the Rough Trade signing, and when I was at RTW I got the chance to get a ticket for the rehearsal. So keep dipping in here. I'm not on FB but I imagine similar things are going on there in the worldwide blur/gorillaz/damon/graham/TGTB&TQ community...
