Not sure if there is already a thread on London Fields already, apologies if so...
Who here has read the book? Just wondering what aspects of the book most influenced Damon and on what particular songs? It seems to be widely regarded as being the biggest inspiration for his writing on Parklife and TGE. I hear it a bit in London Loves and Topman, but is it much more extensive than a few songs, or does it dictate the entire theme of both albums?
I like some of Martin Amis' other stuff, but on a few attempts I seem to only get about halfway through London Fields myself... The film is finally going to be released this year after a huge legal ordeal(it was filmed in 2014), but if any of the early reviews are anything to go by, it's going to absolutely bomb. Shame. Thought some Parklife era cuts could have made the soundtrack in an ideal world.
Discussion about the band and related projects.
