for the life of me i don't get why most people love Sweet Song and hate Crazy Beat :D
I get bored of Sweet Song about 1 minute in, more than any other song on the album I feel it really needs Graham.

and Crazy Beat is fine! No worse than Bank Holiday or Globe Alone imo
I can't wear that, stupid rain hat

Not all good songs have catchy melodies and choruses. Sweet Song has soul, whereas Crazy Beat is just a lame attempt at a fast-paced, guitar-heavy song.

How does everyone on here feel about "B.L.U.R.E.M.I"? To me "Crazy Beat" is just an extension... but man if only they didn't change from what they had captured w/"1"! "1" could have been a potential hit!

The two songs are completely different.

Nah, King Louie has a point. Maybe not an extension, but for example, the vocal effect used when the line "B.L.U.R.E.M.I" is repeated, is the same that's used to sing "Crazy beat, crazy beat, yeah yeah". The verses are also of similar vocal register and delivery.

To me, Crazy Beat is the genetically mutated child of Popscene, Song 2 and B.L.U.R.E.M.I.

Sorry,

Ones a pop single the other is a grunge trashy album song. They both feature donald duck, that's the only comparison I can hear. ;)

Melodically different yeah, but with Donald Duck voice, monotonously sung verses and punky guitar tones in both, for me personally, that was enough for the two to be related to one another upon first hearing each.

As I said, I wouldn't go as far to say Crazy Beat was an 'extension', but there are a few similarities.

Yep. Highest rated album there I think with Parklife and 13.

It's not a stretch to think of Crazy Beat as Fatboy Slim doing the Rapture. The donald duck voice is the same one as on Kalifornia and similar to the ones you hear in the likes of Retox... except its very dance-punky 2003 stylie et al

B.L.U.R.E.M.I. on the other hand is neither of these things

Also Think Tank was critically acclaimed
