I fucking love it. Glad to have Damon 100% on vocals. Looking forward to hearing the album, also how great is that album cover?!

I’m a Damon singing on a GORILLAZ song fan.

It's a nice tune, but can't say I am thoroughly impressed. Looks like Damon's gone full electronic with Gorillaz now. Honestly, I would have liked a change in sound after the iPad-produced Humanz.

Rubi - have you listened to the right song? I don’t think Humilty sounds anything like Humanz.

Deffo, don't hear any humanz influence on the track. Very much like ghost ship in some ways.

Where did I say that Humility sounds like Humanz? I said Gorillaz have become an electronic act at this point, and that after Humanz, which was purely electronic music, I would have preferred something different.

Trying to think of all the organic instrumentation on Humanz.

It's got a Wurlitzer on Strobelite, Graham's mixed-way-too-fucking-quiet background guitar on Submission and some strings on Carnival.

I think that might be it. Compare that with these songs. Prominent lead guitar on Humility, prominent percussion on Lake Zurich. Also the samples used on Lake Zurich (for the most part) have way less of an electronic feel. Like I can tell they're samples but they don't have that Plastic Gorillaz Sound to them.

I'm liking these a lot, if the rest of the album is of similar quality I'll be really happy with it.

loving everything about this... it has the old gorillaz pop feel
a very different sound in production from Humanz
Humility sounds a lot like SFA to me! especially when the bridge comes in. Love it
