Ooo! That's a very interesting thought. I was thinking that the guitar sounded different than Jeff would play.. would be so cool if it were Graham!

ya, that's what I was thinking too. definitely not a "single". I love it though. reminds me of the album RAM by Daft Punk a bit
even has damon talking in the middle of the song.. like double bass

as far as I know... the guitar work on Humility is actually done by George benson and not Graham

Had a quick listen to Humility as at work, but yeah sounds very promising on first listen, certainly a step in the right direction, fingers crossed that the rest of the album holds up too. Humanz was a good album, just way too many guests, although they were good guests.

Yep, George Benson. The thought of Graham was fun, but Benson is a great collab! Love the guitar. Also, Gorillaz have changed their profile pics to a more "markery" or "brushy" logo, for lack of better term. And their Instagram recently uploaded three videos of a line that seems to separate Phase 4 and Phase 5. News has to be coming this week surely with all of the activity and the leak. Friday??

I don't really keep up with the whole cartoon side of the story, and it's going to make me feel creepy talking about it but...

Murdoc is in jail and he's apparently been replaced by this random dude who looks a lot like a character out of the power puff girls (called Ace) and this guy is wearing an ace of cards on his jacket. Apparently there's also been other references Gorillaz have made with the power puff girls. Now you'd think the close link between the two characters has to be related in some way, and even if it isn't they would have had to have some kind of clearance with the power puff girls so.....are the people behind the power puff girls teaming up / helping in some way with an animated Gorillaz series?

It would make sense on a number of levels as I believe the production team didn't have any large parent company (like disney/warner) prodding them with a stick which I believe Gorillaz were always afraid of when anyone asked them about a tv series. The other fit is, like with any great cartoon is theres an underlining tone that only adults would understand and it would just go over the head of children. I think Gorillaz also fit that bill pretty well.

I'm just speculating of course, but maybe there's something in it.

It's comin up! Damon will be on BBC 6Music Breakfast tomorrow (https://twitter.com/BBC6Breakfast/statu ... 9484386305) and Beats 1 w/ Zane Lowe as well (https://twitter.com/DamonUnofficial/sta ... 2221049861). Perhaps one program will have Lake Zurich and the other will have Humility akin to the Humanz songs?

Also, James Ford is the producer for The Now Now (https://twitter.com/DamonUnofficial/sta ... 8310108160). I know very little about him, but I'm interested! This info comes from daii, by the way. Thanks daii!

Jamie is friends with Craig McCracken. They've done this before on a much smaller scale.
An advertisement for a Gorillaz show on a newspaper in the PPG movie, 2-D wearing a Mojo Jojo shirt in a phase 1 picture...
Could they work together on the show? Sure. But you really don't know until they say so officially.

I Can't wait to hear this record now. Gave Humanz a spin the other day. I still really like it.
