Look inside america

Post by TracyJosh » 29 May 2017, 13:28

Just wondering if anyone had any info as to when this song was written? It has to be hands down the most Britpop sounding song on S/T. It's more TGE than TGE B-sides!

It's strange that out of the trilogy, TGE was the only album not to feature an 'America' song but then the next album did and it's the only song that's very much in line with the style of the trilogy...

It's a good song, a nice reminder of End Of A Century.

Cool video, thanks for sharing that. :) It starts at 51:00 though, the Look Inside America section. Turns out the chords are the same as Freebird!

Almost the same as Freebird!

Freebird ends each time through the progression with a Dmajor and Look Inside ends with Aminor. I was surprised that Graham did not notice this before...I recognized it years ago and thought it was a deliberate decision by the band to embrace America or something.
