The remix reminds me of those sunny 1998-2001 songs, like Len or something. All bright sheen and it just reminds you of white, summer days sitting down a beach all day. It just bursts at the right places too despite the fact there's momentum and melody in every part of the song... but then the chorus... get the coooooooool

My fave tracks always has been (since its initial release) "5/4", "19-2000", "Sound Check (Gravity)" and "Man Research (Clapper)"...... The entire album was my soundtrack to the Summer of '01 and what a turbulent period that was for me!

To me this is the real Gorillaz. Probably their best album. DD is better in single material, but as an experimental/enjoyable album, Gorillaz is the best.

fond memories of this album, partly soundtracked living in Iceland at the time..

melodica sounds beautiful..

album has a charm and i liked the idea of anime style band.. apparently damon will wear a special suit and become 2d for live shows next phase?..sounds a bit fuct up but cool because the characters are a big part of the charm too... would be interesting to see the characters actually performing a gig.

a movie / season episodes could have been fun..maybe it'll happen

but yeah, this first album is my fav gorillaz one
