This list has already changed 3-4 times since the album came out yesterday… but I’m currently at:

1. Lady Boston
2. The Poison Tree
3. The Truce or Twilight
4. Ribbons
5. Drifters and Trawlers
6. The Last Man to Leave
7. 1917
8. Merrie Land
9. Gun to the Head
10. The Great Fire

Damn… I feel so conflicted before I’ve even submitted this! What an album!

The fact that there are no actual bad/average songs on this album makes this difficult, putting them in order seems wrong but here goes...

Ribbons
The Great Fire
Drifters and Trawlers
Lady Boston
Last Man to Leave
Merrie Land
The Poison Tree
Gun to the Head
The Truce of Twighlight
Nineteen Seventeen

I could listen to any of these and enjoy these and very little between my favourite and least favourite.

On a similar subject today I was thinking how it would have turned out if TGTBATQ had have been involved in Damon’s ER album instead of Heavy Seas as much of the album is very routed in this country, especially after seeing what they have done on Merrie Land.

I made my initial ranking post less than an hour ago and I already feel terrible about putting Ribbons so low.

1. Truce of Twilight
2. Lady Boston
3. Last Man To Leave
4. Merrie England
5. Great Fire
6. 1917
7. Poison Tree
8. Ribbons
9. Drifters and Trawlers
10. Gun To The Head

I agree.. no songs on this list are bad. I think the lowest a song goes for me is 8/10

Also, I preordered the deluxe CD on amazon and the delivery date is mid December to January... I really don't understand this. Same this happened with The Now Now but I ordered from Warner Bros website, so I thought this time amazon would be better. What a joke.. What is the point of preordering??? I bought the physical copy and stream it from Spotify.. I guess this is the modern world.

I want to show my father this album via cd, because I know he will love it.

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed to have shelled out £90 for a pre-release that I wont get to hear within a month of release or before the gigs in December, but in context it's a case of first world problems really. Adding to the whole first world problems theme further I have spotify but wont pay for premium, so there's the option to "sort of" listen to it, but I don't feel that's the best way to listen to an album that was clearly designed to be listened to from start to finish

I am soon going to listen to "Merrie Land" again for the 3rd time, but must finish listening to "TMW" in its entirety which I do at least once a month or more!

This is a Spotify related question regarding the TGTBTQ self-titled album, but is "Behind the Sun" blocked from playing for everyone else and if so... Does anyone know any particular reason why? Thanks!

me too - pre-order waiting in the wings - so reluctantly downloaded from iTunes at one minute after midnight on Thursday...
not disappointed at all with the album though...
I'm still hearing new things in it :)

Interesting... really interesting... I wonder if it's only here in the States? I must check w/someone because it's quite peculiar!

Oh man.... I'm listening to this now for the 3rd x and the "Day in the Life" inspired conclusion to "Gun to the Head" gets to me each and every time! I was so wrong about that song on my first listen... it's a REALLY AMAZING track!

I apologize for asking and I hate wanting for someone to justify their own opinion/belief.... but I am curious as to why? I just found that very amusing. I must admit that I might eventually share that opinion myself!
