The snippets just keep getting better and better… Lady Boston sounds like it will be a majestic masterpiece. Love what little of the choir that’s heard. This snippets have surprised me at how good of a promotional tool they are, as with each bit released I’ve gotten more excited for this album.

Lady Boston and The Great Fire both released in the last 6 hours on Instagram. Excellent, excellent, excellent! One of these two songs (based on the clips) would have been a far superior choice for first single than the two they actually released.

Now, the question is - when will the album leak?

Hopefully a kind soul will post them here for everyone. Not that I'd condone such behaviour as a moderator, obviously.

Based on the press reception and all the Instagram teasers, Merrie Land is shaping up to be the Damon album of the decade. Roll on Friday!

Yes indeed! The only serious criticism so far has come from someone who didn't like the first GBQ album describing the new one as 'even worse' (or words to the effect). We'll probably know on Friday whether the album has received enough acclaim for Mercury awards/end-of-year poll success etc.
