Graham's guitar gear

Post by Moritz » 05 Feb 2016, 22:56

Hello, over the time, I found some guitars, which are played by Graham, which I can not identify or which have no clear background. The first is the "Hayman 3030" from the "Song 2" clip, I watched a long time for it, which surprisingly is also at the TOTP performance for "Parklife": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YquF6JQX_Y. I'm not sure, but maybe, this guitar was just a loan from the studio, but there are no infos were the "Song 2" video was filmed, so it could be in the same studio.

It's the same thing with the "Fender Coronado", most famous for the using in the "She's So High" clip, it also could be just a loan. But there is a entry on the official Fender website for this guitar, which show Graham: http://www2.fender.com/experience/fende ... g-mystery/. Graham used this guitar also at the TOTP appearance for "To The End" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIv09k_L6eo .

There is also a Gibson, I think it's a "Gibson SG Special T", from the TOTP performance of "M.O.R": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2H_Z-UOoFM . Does anybody also know details for this guitar?

Graham also played a "Fender Stratocester" at the last year, which looks like a "Fender Stratocester David Gilmour Signature, but I am also not sure.

Some times ago, I found this picture from Graham from circa 2001: http://potatooonoise.tumblr.com/post/12 ... ng-has-got . I can't identify this one, but it looks a bit like a Stratocester.

I also don't know which "Epiphone" is this, from the "End Of the Road Festival" in 2012, : http://www.gettyimages.de/detail/nachri ... /151174380 .

Does anybody also know something about the stickers on Grahams Telecaster in the late 90s, I know how they look, but I always ask me if it's he a own drawing or something like this: https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/imag ... n6LoDPeXaw . He also putted a sticker on his sundburst "Gibson Les Paul".

It would be great if someone could know something about one of these guitars.

With the best wishes
Moritz

The one from the 2001 pic looks to be one of these.

It's a pity that Tweedz is not posting anymore on this forum (the last time that I saw him connected was when "Unpopular Blur opinions" thread was created). :(

Probably a PM to him could be useful in this case.

Does anyone know what pedals he uses? His nasty guitar tones on Bugman, Go Out, Trimm Trabb etc. are great

Yeah, he runs two or three of the Rat pedals at a time.
I think he uses a Boss delay as well...

the coronado is great..anyone who went to early shows would have seen me use it on "i'm fine" and "she is so high"

the gibson is an amazing les paul junior in an SG SHAPE-- one pick up, 2 knobs.....GOT IT IN DUBLIN..ITS A 1962 I BELIEVE

the black strat is a guitar my tech put together for me of bits he had lying around..

those photos have my old 1930s martin..burns jazz guitar...i got that thrown in when i bought a fender VI in LA..the fender 6 used to be sly stone's..

i think the epic is a coronet....another ace one pick up guitar..hurts tho...

hi guys. I have started this page on Facebook to discuss Graham's work in detail, both with blur and solo, plus guest/session work.

In time I want to be able to give something back to him. Not sure what shape that will take, but I feel in-debted to a man who has shaped so much of my inner world.

Thank you
