Gig: Yasalam, Abu Dhabi, 29 Nov 2015

Post by Consigliere_11 » 27 Nov 2015, 21:16

The thread doesn't exist, but who knows, maybe someone else is making it to Abu Dhabi? Florence and the Machine are playing tomorrow, I hope I'll check the venue before the bigger night ;)

No stream as far as I know..
All the access to the first row is impossible this time - yesterday I managed to get the pass to see "Florence and the Machine" and was in the first row - incredible performance, by the way. Tough luck this time!
In other news, the guys were soundcheking Lonesome Street, Country House and something else I couldn't hear because of the cars. So the standard playlist is expected!

They did indeed play Country House for the first time in a while - Damon said it is a small Christmas gift for the audience
They played only three ( THREE ) songs from TMW: Go Out, Lonesome Street and TIWAS. Such a shame. Most of the Parklife was played, as well as other hits. As much it is a standard list, I'm so happy that I could them for the second time in my life - and in their last show for some time! This is a truly amazing experience - race, concerts and all the great stuff

So they're out of the 'touring a new album' phase and back to the greatest hits set..

Who cares what they played. Stop moaning. Sounds a top gig.

Can't blame them, it's not a Blur fan crowd, got to play the hits!

this was the last gig to TMW tour so really don't care what they played. now we must wait 3-4 years for another music or gigs

Yeah, that is pretty much what it was. Some people knew most of the hits, were singing and so on - not much on the new ones. But the crowd was good in front, so Damon got happier and more active towards the end of the gig :)

Would have been suicide to throw in lots of TMW with a mainly casual crowd, which this must have been. Completely understandable.

NO ICE CREAM MAN??????!!!!!!!!!!!!      *pretends to be shocked for the 25th time this year*

Is it just me or does anyone else feel kinda depressed??

I know we are very lucky that all this happened in the first place, a new album, a new tour, new interviews, new documentaries... that was beyond anything I had hoped for... but I can't help feeling sad knowing this was the last gig of the tour, and maybe the last gig before a long time.

A chapter is closing...

I just hope there'll be be plenty others before we reach the last page of the book...
