Hopfully a blu Ray of the documentary and concert in time for Christmas!

That looks fantastic. Blur documentaries are the best so I'm already really hyped for this one.

By the looks of it, if there's a live performance included as an extra disc it'll probably be Hyde Park. That kinda sucks cause they just played 5 songs off TMW and we already have 2 Hyde Park live shows. I'd rather have a proper release of the Hong Kong gig, which was great.

Well I do hope they continue with the HK theme and release the Hong Kong gig with the film.

And I was hyped up for the new Star Wars trailer tomorrow!! This is even better for me!  :D

According to Stereogum: Directed by Sam Wrench, the film stitches together clips from two gigs last summer at London’s Hyde Park and Hong Kong’s Convention And Exposition Centre along with background about the “unfinished business” that spurred on Blur’s comeback album The Magic Whip. New World Towers will screen 12/2 in the UK, with an international release to follow.

So cinemas first, DVD/BluRay release later on. Extra disc with both performances?

Hyde Park, no thanks. Bad choice. MODE and Hong Kong would have been better, getting a tad tired of multiple Hyde Park releases. But the documentary itself sounds excellent, I can't wait. :D

Huh, this is unexpected!

If this is the pattern we can expect from Blur in the future (reunion tour -> documentary -> 3-5 year break -> new album -> reunion tour -> documentary -> break), I guess I'm okay with that.

Strange to see another doc, though, so soon after No Distance Left to Run and that 45-minute "behind the scenes" feature for Magic Whip.

It's funny - for as much as Gorillaz is Damon's multimedia band, Blur have had many more video releases.

Considering the great number of professional TV cameras in Hyde Park on June 20th, I'd say this dvd/bluray was expected for me.
