Me and a few mates are going! Can't wait. My friend got the tickets, not sure if they have turned up yet though

Keep us posted on that one will you? I hope no bad surprises this time, only good ones...like so eagerly awaited Pyongyang

don't really want to be a complainer but i find it very odd that they don't play ice cream man and pyongyang
Textin' abbreviates the brain. Aspirin takes away the pain.

Ditto, Ice Cream Man was always unlikely I think but no Pyongyang was the real shocker.

Saw a few tweets saying the crowd was a bit shit tonight - any thoughts from those in attendance?
Getting great feedback otherwise, though. Again.

Yeah, crowd was pretty dead. Band sounded great but was let down by the lacklustre audience response. Glasgow definitely the best of the shows.

Shouldn't really have anything to do with it but Glasgow is a city, more people bigger venue etc.

I stand by Wolverhampton being the best so far. Small, intimate, different setlist etc. Superb.

I've mentioned the lack of Pyongyang a lot, but I can't believe Mirrorball and TATMOU have been dropped mid tour. What on earth is all that about?
Edit: All I can think of is those songs require strings (Mirrorball/TATMOU). Maybe the Demon Strings were unable to join for these dates?

They were good again. Not as good as Glasgow but nowhere they have or will play this summer will get anywhere near that.

The Barrowlands isn't really a bigger venue.Leahscarlet2 wrote:Shouldn't really have anything to do with it but Glasgow is a city, more people bigger venue etc.
However it is a fantastic venue and I am probably not the best judge being Scottish myself, but Scottish crowds are always amazing.

Blur were as fantastic as they were in Blackpool but the sound was better in Venue Cymru. What let the gig down was the lackluster effort made by the crowd to engage with the band. Being born and bred in North Wales I thought It was going to be a really special night and got a ticket last minute. As much as Damon Albarn tried and he really bloody tried to the point where I think he made himself quite mad the crowd were really quiet. Venue Cymru is a cracking venue and has had some big name bands over recent years but none as big as blur and I hope the lack of response doesn't put them off from playing up this way again. The band sound as good as they have ever done though which is a shame that It wasn't reciprocated by a usually up for it Welsh crowd. I'm not sure Damon speech about not connecting with Wales in past years helped much though.
