If The Magic Whip's songs were off another Blur album...

Post by UnderThePuritan » 20 May 2015, 18:24

Which one do you think it suit most? I remember this topic being discussed in a bit of detail about Fools Day, UTW and The Puritan. Obviously we will have to clutch at straws for some of these!

Lonesome Street - MLIR
New World Towers - 13 (although I must say it reminds me of a mix of TGTBATQ and Everyday Robots)
Go Out - Blur
Ice Cream Man - Blur
Thought I Was A Spaceman - 13
I Broadcast - TGE (a bit too cluttered and refined from the live version to be off Blur - could be viewed alongside Globe Alone to an extent)
My Terracotta Heart - Think Tank
There Are Too Many Of Us - TGE
Ghost Ship - Think Tank (I think I've said on here somewhere before that this song reminded me of the life of Think Tank, just with Graham's guitars on)
Pyongyang - TGE (would have had those live guitars if it were on Blur/13, pity!!)
Ong Ong - Parklife
Mirrorball - 13 (reminds me a bit of NDLTR, no doubt due to the western sounding guitar)

Thoughts guys?

Ice Cream Man is way to low key for TGE.

Some people didn't actually understand we're talking about Blur albums, not Damon side projects as well. :D

A lot of people saying Blur->Think Tank for Mirrorball, I actually think it sounds like the more atmospheric tracks of MLIR like Miss America.
