A great night, but a tad disappointed with the omissions of Mirrorball and Ghost Ship, having played them the night before. I think it was the 28th time I've seen Blur and it never gets any less fun. 'He Thought of Cars' was probably the highlight for me. Sounded majestic.

I too thought the sound was a bit muddy - Graham's guitar wasn't loud enough. But it was still great, obviously. I got way too pissed - ten pints FFS. I had a roaring headache after the show - no doubt partly the booze but also the gig.

Saw Alex and Smoggy in a bar afterwards. Alex seemed in a bit of a mood and he fucked off to go to a strip club, the dirty get.

Nice to meet Liese too. :)

And you!

I read a couple of reviews on the night (BBC, NME) mentioning the barrier incident and I hate how they all make it sound like (a) it was the crowd's fault and (b) it was the band's crew's fault, as clearly it was the venue workers' fault while (a) and (b) did all to prevent more harm to be done, particularly the band's crew.

Yeah, I had to get a few of that mardy face... nyaaawwww :D He did perk up though!
Don't blame him, i'd be pissed at some of the mixing, as well as the barrier techs. Great night though, had a blast.

And definitely, the set was great - inside each of those talisman is a giant mirrorball! I am now blind..

Oh I'm not gonna, I love the man  I would be pissed off too. Especially when someone's carelessness could endanger others. I mean was it their first big event to organise or what...?

Ah, sorry I meant I don't blame him :)
I know! Someone mentioned it was the same for Kings of Leon recently. It was funny because as soon as they came out I think Damon said it looked like one of the best venues they've ever played.. and then..
