I remember seeing Graham pointing towards the barrier during Go Out, but the security ignored him  TNOW kicked in, a bloke standing a few feet away from me was looking really worried. I then noticed the barrier was moving  Smoggy must have seen it too, he was waving at Damon to kill the song for what seemed liked ages! Damon stooped the song while security fixed it, they managed to finish TNOW but the barrier was still moving! One funny moment was when one of the security asked Damon to "tone it down" Damon was like "Fuck off!"
Thankfully no one was hurt and it was fixed but it killed the atmosphere for a long while after.
was it to the security? I thought he meant the photographers who all stayed in the pit waiting for the story of their life, idiots
the whole thing was really scary.
I was front at the left. Luckily people moved all back when asked to. "Nice" were the blokes who shouted that they had payed and Smog shouted back to shut the fuck up, never seen him so angry.
Craig Duffy kicked the barrier to get the parts back together, either the parts weren't assembled properly or dislocated when the wooden floor was swinging
Poor roadie spent the gig trying to find the right screws and bolts for the barrier and eventually security used straps to fix it. After that, no one really pushed to the barrier, think everyone was relieved when the barrier survived the the faster songs, the floor was still swinging though
I'm sure it was security, the guy was wearing a yellow t-shirt but then that could be me having a false memory syndrome!

Did you see Damon pointing angrily at someone in the crowd while the barrier was being fixed?

Anyway sans the barrier issue it was an amazing gig! This Is A Low and HTOC were my highlights. Spaceman was kind of ruined by some fat woman in front of me chatting to her mate! :x

What the fuck?!?!

I have an acute fight radar (not because I want one, but because I hate it) ...but I didn't sense anything. Mind you I was in the middle down the front.

But I knew (having been on the front row in Wolverhampton in 2012) that I didn't have the energy to stay there a night :') despite having travelled from North yorkshire, I ended up next to a group of lads who lived really near me :') if you're on here, hi!
I moved to the side after about 4 songs, but the guy next to me pissed on the floor and then got in a fight!!! Aside from that, I had an amazing time and sang and jumped like a mad thing :)

I bought the same glasses as Damon on the Wednesday, I'd been sporting them all day, ha!
I saw Bob dylan in blackpool in 2013 and knew I couldn't face another 2 days of hanging around there, so I went to the zoo yesterday and it was awesome! :)

But yeah, Amazing show!! Shame about the barrier but at least we made the news for being such a mental crowd!
Wow - pissing in the moshpit. Disgusting times to be alive, right there.

Anyway, where did you get Damon's glasses? Which pair? I'd love some if you have any info... 8-)

vile isn't it! I thought he was just spilling a drink until I realised he had his winky out!!! grim.

I just found the glasses is some seafront shop that sells rock and tat that middle aged women wear for hen-dos :') They were £3 but I see them as unofficial Blur merch now, haha! They're all over the internet if you just type in 'Blackpool sunglasses'

What I don't understand is how it took them 5 DAYS to write a review. Surely if you're working for a well known mag like NME you make sure the review is up the very next day, at least that's what I'd do.

I'd imagine it's down to the fact that the next issue comes out tomorrow or Wednesday rather than any great laziness on the part of the writer.

I love how the NME seems to think ice cream vans are typically British.

I am never sure if the journalists reporting the incident really are such morons or whether they only think the crowd breaking the barrier is more rock'n'roll the fact that the Ballroom crew and management were just too daft and lazy to put the bolts in...

well the barrier wasn't secure in the first place, Alex seems to be the only one who still doesn't know, same for the "security" guy who isn't really one but part of the Africa express crew
