Kind of awkward that he doesn't even mention the first review...

He could at least have made a joke of it!

I'm not going to watch his review on principle. Who the heck is he anyway and why should his opinion matter? He's not even a pro (clearly) just a music fan like you and me. I find his style very annoying and self-knowing and hardly ever I agree with him. Screw him!

At least he is trying to be somewhat more serious by getting rid of his "room mate" Cal.

After giving the fake leak a 6 I was fully expecting a 6 or 7 from him for two reasons:

A) he wouldn't want to be seen to be folding to pressure after he messed up which rules it out of a 8-10
B) he would appear edgier and more "credible" by coming off with something like "yeah I've listened to the real record and it's not much better than the leak"

Maybe I'm reading too much into the guy but I fully expected a 6 or 7.

Obviously he only works for 4chan kidz... Maybe it's the very first sign of the fact that I am now officially old that I find these meme spouting, image posting types intolerable.. Or maybe I simply don't understand.. Either way this guy and everyone on 4chan can get tae fuk.

How he can review that leak at 6 then review the real thing as only 1 higher is beyond me ahahahaha

Well, after reading all 15 pages of this thread and being thoroughly amused by his mistake...fuck that guy. Idiothole. I'm gonna send him an abusive tweet right now actually.

well no he was feeling a 5/light 6 on the leak
and a hard 7 on the album proper, which is like a 7.6 or whatever

and also cos it is at best a 7 so....

There's no way that he could have uploaded the original review, taken it down, heard the actual album for the first time, formed an accurate opinion on it, and redid the review all in the span of 12 hours without doing a halfassed job.

Well that is just your opinion on it.

But still, if by his rating scale a collection of completely random, half finished demos and B-sides got a light 6, by that logic surely the real thing would have scored a lot higher.

well its his opinion isnt it
he liked those demos at a 5 - average
and he liked the album as a 7 - good

i mean... to me.. don't be is better than MTH
and dont bomb is better than mirrorball
colours is better than ong ong - tho he liked the latter more
some glad morning is better than TATMOU

Yeah I guess, I just would have expected maybe more of a strong 7, light 8, but a decent 7 is good and not too far off of a rating.

I definitely feel like this is one of those albums that grows on you the more you hear it and if he had taken more time before doing his review, it might have ended up with a different score.
