I mentioned a few days ago that I had something special lined up, and this is it. I had the pleasure of interviewing Dave recently and we spoke about a number of things. Obviously The Magic Whip was brought up but the interview covers topics from the Bill Laswell sessions, 2005 Blur "EP", The Ailerons and a few more things. Enjoy!

EDIT: I've merged the two threads for each part. - tom_cas1

Good stuff! I'm assuming the second part mainly concerns the album's content?

Great work, Tom!!! Dave's point of view about the 2005 EP is very interesting, he didn't even mention a word about Subspieces, so it really seems they weren't into it at all, it must have not sounded that memorable! As munch said: great questions! Can't wait to read part 2

That was really interesting, tom. Thanks! Where and when did it take place?
That must have been lovely to chat with Dave, and I'm glad he loved Mode's gig. Looking forward to the next part

Nice one Tom!
Mmm, sounds like the 2005 EP didn't get as far as we thought. Did he remember the gig that got cancelled a couple of days before it took place ?

Good man Tom. Nice interview there. Also, is it a bit wrong that I've never heard any Ailerons?

Great! But how did this happen Tom?? HOW? It's not the most professional interview but damn it, you asked some good questions that the fans want to hear so I commend thee. Excited for part deux.

How come you got to interview him? Is it part of your job?
